More capability, fewer components, lower system costs

The Software Defined IDU represents a new microwave Indoor Unit (IDU) architecture that provides scalable capacity options to address PDH and SDH network requirements. This advanced technology platform is designed to provide the flexibility to customers for their current and future network needs. It is spectrum and data rate scalable, enabling service providers to trade-off system gain with spectral efficiency and channel availability for optimal network connectivity. The Software Defined IDU is designed to be frequency independent and adjustable to interface to various Outdoor Unit (ODU) options. It includes integrated Operations, Administration, Maintenance, and Provisioning (OAM&P) functionality and design features enabling simple commissioning when the radio network is initially set up at the customer’s premises.

Software Defined IDU incorporates
  • Network Interfaces
  • SNMP, OAM&P, built-in Web server
  • Security
  • Modem
  • Flexible Intermediate Frequency (IF)
  • User Interface

Software Defined IDU Features
