Senior Supplier Quality Engineer(Code: SSQE)
CarrierComm seeks an outstanding Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer with a strong electronics manufacturing quality background to join our supply chain team.  This position has the primary responsibility for supporting all elements of the supplier program and for driving overall quality in all aspects of the Supplier relationship.  This function drives the supplier quality assessment, performance and development activities required to assure the delivery of high quality materials and services.

Responsibilities:

• General knowledge of all levels of Quality Management Systems
• Extensive knowledge of Supplier Base Quality Systems
• Experience with ISO9000/QS9000, Lean Mfg, Continuous Improvement, CAPA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, Gage R&R.
• Extensive experience in outsourcing of product to contract manufactures.
• Requires a solid knowledge of tool fabrication, assembly, and PCBA and Box Build manufacturing methods.
• Demonstrate excellent team and communication skills to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead in design for excellence (DFX) analysis of current and new products during New Product Introduction (NPI) utilization of APQP and PPAP principles.
• Work in conjunction with design, production, and purchasing to concurrently develop suppliers to support New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Must be able to travel 25% of time (International Travel).
• Perform vendor and supplier quality system evaluations and provide strategic out sourcing recommendations.  Includes but not limited to on-site Process Controls Reviews, and evaluation of supplier quality questionnaires.
• Initiate and review supplier corrective actions (SCAR) as needed.
• Assist with reliability and environmental testing as required.
• Assist in ISO9000 audits as needed.

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering Field.  Masters Degree preferred.
• Five plus years experience in supplier assessment, selection, outsourcing to CM and management.
• Experience with PCB manufacturing and CCA assembly process.
• Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and negotiating skills.
• Detail oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be a self-starter and able to exercise good judgment.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal skills.
