Senior Software Engineer - Firmware Development (Code: SSEFD)
CarrierComm seeks an outstanding Software Engineer with a strong interest in developing firmware for embedded systems to join our Software Development team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded software for digital communication systems.
- Develop embedded software for configuring and monitoring modem functions.
- Participate in design, development, integration and performance verification.
- Close collaboration with a talented group of other hardware, software and systems engineers.
Required skill set:
- BSEE, BSCS, BSCE or equivalent degree desired.
- Embedded software development experience.
- A good track record of planning and delivering solutions.
- Good customer and team interface skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical proficiency in the following areas:
- Experience with designing and developing software to run on microcontrollers.
- C programming.
- Experience with multi-threaded RTOS.
- Understanding of low level hardware/software interaction and debugging.
- Embedded systems debugging experience.
- Source code control and configuration management experience.
Desired skill set:
- Experience developing software for modems.
- Experience using Keil development tools.
- Understanding of specific microprocessors and peripheral controllers (Cortex M3, ARM).
- Experience programming in an Embedded LINUX environment would be advantageous.
- Understanding of digital communication concepts would be advantageous.
