Senior Software Engineer - Firmware Development (Code: SSEFD)
CarrierComm seeks an outstanding Software Engineer with a strong interest in developing firmware for embedded systems to join our Software Development team. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop embedded software for digital communication systems.
• Develop embedded software for configuring and monitoring modem functions.
• Participate in design, development, integration and performance verification.
• Close collaboration with a talented group of other hardware, software and systems engineers.

Required skill set:

• BSEE, BSCS, BSCE or equivalent degree desired. 
• Embedded software development experience.
• A good track record of planning and delivering solutions.
• Good customer and team interface skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical proficiency in the following areas:
• Experience with designing and developing software to run on microcontrollers.
• C programming.
• Experience with multi-threaded RTOS.
• Understanding of low level hardware/software interaction and debugging.
• Embedded systems debugging experience.
• Source code control and configuration management experience.

Desired skill set:

• Experience developing software for modems.
• Experience using Keil development tools.
• Understanding of specific microprocessors and peripheral controllers (Cortex M3, ARM).
• Experience programming in an Embedded LINUX environment would be advantageous.
• Understanding of digital communication concepts would be advantageous.
