Senior Software Engineer (Code: SSE)
CarrierComm seeks experienced software engineer to develop digital communications radios and network software for point to point and point to multi-point systems. We are looking for individuals with strong theoretical backgrounds and hands-on experience to:

  • Develop embedded software for digital communications systems.
  • Develop network monitoring software for managing networks of digital communications systems.
  • Participate in the design, integration, performance verification and production testing of modem designs.
  • Generate and maintain specifications.

This position requires a minimum 5 years experience in the design of digital communication systems and/or network software. Position requires a BSCS or BSEE degree. Candidate must have excellent verbal and written skills to interact with design teams, customers, as well as internal business and marketing groups. The candidate must be able to use their experience to aid in troubleshooting and solving of system related problems. A qualified candidate’s experience should include:

  • Detailed knowledge of Ethernet, SONET, T1/E1 and related communications systems
  • SNMP and network monitoring software implementation
  • Embedded software design, including programming, control, and status of hardware components
  • Development of software to run on Unix, Linux, and Windows platforms
  • Interpretation of regulatory information and test results
  • Generation of Specification and Requirements for implementation of software
