Senior Buyer/Planner (Code: SBP)
CarrierComm seeks an outstanding Senior Buyer/Planner with a strong procurement and planning background to join our supply chain team.  This position will be the primary supply chain interface with engineering and will own the tactical supply chain interface with our contract manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for working with our contract manufacturing, distribution and OEM partners in sourcing material for new products.
• Develop and implement material plan to build prototype and beta products.
• Coordinate material procurement requirements and schedules with engineering.
• Track market trends of volatile material to avoid stock-out situations.
• Work with contract manufacturers to resolve material shortages.
• Order inventory to meet company production and inventory goals.
• Create, monitor and maintain Purchase Orders to meet production schedules.
• Responsible for vendor return authorization for unwanted or damaged goods (RMAs).
• Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing; coordinate on-time delivery of production and engineering projects.
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships including contractual agreements.
• Maintain all vendor files related to terms, quotations and established purchasing schedules.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• CSCP, CPIM or CPM certification preferred.
• 5 years of purchasing, strategic supplier management experience in high-tech manufacturing.
• NPI (New Product Introduction) experience – sourcing new material and ensuring compliance to schedule.
• Understands ECO incorporation.
• Experience with PCB manufacturing and CCA assembly process.
• Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and negotiating skills.
• Detail oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be a self-starter and able to exercise good judgment.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Mandarin language is a plus.
