RF/Radio Design Engineers (Code: RFDE)
CarrierComm seeks experienced radio design engineers to design IF chains (< 500 MHz) for point to point and point to multi-point systems. We are looking for individuals with strong theoretical backgrounds and hands-on experience to:

• Lead the design and characterization of RF circuits/subsystems (mixers, filters, synthesizers, amplifiers, etc.) at the PCB level
• Perform integration with radios/RF heads
• Assist in project planning and scheduling
• Provide technical guidance for the performance and production testing of radios
• Generate and maintain Specifications, Interface Control Documents, and Test Documentation

Minimum 5 years experience in the design of digital communication radio systems. Position requires a BSEE degree (MS preferred). Good customer and team interface skills required. Must be able to work in a hands-on lab/integration environment on a variety of challenging hardware platforms. Experience should include:

• PSK/QAM and OFDM multicarrier modulation techniques, filtering, spectral mask compliance, impedance matching, amplifier design, A/D & D/A converters, distortion, noise figures and phase noise
• The detailed design of key subsystems in an advanced radio system
• PCB design and layout support
• System engineering analysis associated with RF radio design
• High level knowledge of communication theory, modem design and telecommunications systems highly desirable
