Project Engineer (Code: PE)

CarrierComm seeks a hands-on Project Engineer to manage development of Carrier Class wireless infrastructure products.


  • Manage system level architecture and project planning
  • Manage systems, software, FPGA, ASIC, and circuit card design engineers during development phase.
  • Manage system integration, verification, and validation
  • Manage bug fixing and maintenance updates
  • Manage transition to production
  • Maintain project plan and provide regular updates to Engineering and Executive Management.


  • Minimum 3 years experience managing development of digital communication systems
  • BSEE degree required
  • Graduate degree with specialization in Communication Systems highly desirable
  • Good communication, customer and team interface skills required
  • Cross functional experience working with customer/partners and internal departments (engineering, production, business operations)

Experience in the following areas is highly desired:

  • Networking and network protocols including Ethernet, ARP, TCP/IP, UDP, Spanning-Tree Protocol, SNMP, HTTP, Telnet, SSH, FTP
  • Telecommunications including E1, T1, SDH
  • Network management systems
  • Wireless communications
  • Technical writing and experience in preparing complex technical reports
  • Experience using MS Project (or equivalent)
