First-Line Supervisor of Production and Operating Workers 51-1011 (Job Code: FLS)
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production and service assemblers, testers, repairers and service repair workers.


  • Coordinate material inventory and tracking to ensure accountability of all product and material
  • Coordinate rework and repair efforts to prioritize work efforts and maintain a balanced work load for re-workers and test station operators
  • Coordinate rework and repair of service personnel to ensure returned material is returned according to current customer contracts and priorities
  • Coordinate test station repair and maintenance to provide full functionality with minimal downtime
  • Determine priorities for repair and debug personnel to manage inventory and Production requirements
  • Document and track training for personnel to ensure that operators are qualified to perform assigned tasks
  • Draft Engineering Change Orders to correct problems with work instructions and procedures
  • Draft work instructions for test procedures to be used by Production personnel for testing of products
  • Evaluate work instructions and procedures for use by Production personnel for testing of CarrierComm products
  • Maintain worksheets and tables used by Production personnel for use in testing and customization of product
  • Provide failure data, fault analysis, and improvement recommendations to suppliers and designers for them to use for corrective and preventive actions
  • Provide operators with up to date work instructions and procedures for use in daily operations
  • Review SRO reports and purchase order request for accuracy and completes to ensure timely and accurate feedback to customers on repairs to returned equipment
  • Track functionality and calibration of test stations to ensure availability of Production equipment
  • Track Production throughput and yield to determine effectiveness of the build plan
  • Track Production work orders and work flow to ensure on-time delivery of finished product
  • Train Test Operators and Quality Inspectors to ensure that the product was tested to established standards
  • Travels overseas to Contract Manufacture facilities to train technicians current debug techniques and procedures
  • Update Production databases use to configure test stations to ensure that ECOs are implemented in a timely manor

Working conditions:

  • Employee is entitled to 2 paid 15 minute breaks and 30 minute non paid lunch.
  • Employee is frequently assigned to changing priorities
  • Employee is frequently exposed to electronic equipment
  • Employee is frequently exposed to noise and a regular flow of people around the production floor
  • Employee may be required to work overtime, with paid compensation
  • Work weeks are 5 days: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, starting at 8am

Employment Requirements:

  • Current IPC-610 certification
  • BS in a technical discipline or military equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient spoken and written English
  • Proficient in use of MS Office applications
  • Punctual, meticulous and reliable
  • Team Oriented
